Helping our kids start the school year right

Summer has flown by and it is hard to believe school will be starting for most students in the next few weeks. For many of us, we have special memories associated with the start of a new school year. From seeing our friends for the first time all season, to a new fall wardrobe and all new school supplies to start the year. Unfortunately, many of the kids will not be so lucky this year.

I am excited to share with you that the Windermere Foundation has received $521,000 in donations this year; this represents a 16 percent increase from this time last year! Thanks to our generous agents, brokers, staff, and owners, along with public donations, many low-income families have received the support they need to stay in their homes and meet their children’s most basic needs.

For the past 23 years, the Windermere Foundation has been dedicated to helping these low-income and homeless families, but in these tough times, the organizations and families we support need more help.
